G-20 Summit at David L. Lawrence Convention Center

Top leaders from at least 20 countries will meet in Pittsburgh this fall for the G20 Summit – a huge first for the city of Pittsburgh and a great chance for the city to present itself to the world. From around the country and the world, people are noticing what Pittsburgh has done to emerge from what some once considered a Smokey City to a city on the cutting-edge of today with 21st century jobs, economic transformation, high tech, bio tech, and green jobs as well.

The G-20 Summit is a meeting of the leaders of the top economies of the world representing 85 percent of the world’s production and 80 percent of the world’s trade. Leaders from countries like Australia, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Japan and Russia will summit at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center – a high-class environmentally-certified green building. President Obama will host the G-20 summit where attendees will discuss further actions in order to assure a sound recovery from the global and financial crisis.
